Nigel brings over thirty years' experience to his kitchen at Plato. His previous roles include several years as Head Chef at Sails Restaurant at Westhaven Marina, Auckland, in-house catering for ASB Bank's corporate headquarters, and the establishment of the legendary Art Ducko Caf in Auckland.
Caleb, chef, Central Otago wine enthusiast and expert dishie leads a kitchen brigade of general reprobates while out the front restaurant manager Naomi leads a team of floor staff chosen primarily on personality.

Our staff get together whenever our seven-days-a-week opening hours allow to share a few drinks, food and a laugh. We haven’t yet found a way to beat the fun we had hiring a boat and cruising the Otago harbour on Waitangi Day 2008 (including jumping into a very cold Otago harbour), but we’re trying to!
